About

So here’s the deal: I’m not so great at talking about myself in the general sense. Specific questions and facts, I can do – just a general overview, not so much. So I figure instead of doing the usual about me page, I’ll do it in a sort of question & answer form so that it’s more like an interview. Except I make the questions and I’m not actually talking to someone, i.e. it’s so much easier than an actual interview. Do enjoy.

FOR HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN READING BOOKS?

Honestly, for as long as I can remember. When I was teeny I liked reading Disney comic books and fairytales and those Magic Treehouse books with the shiny covers (but only the ones with the shiny covers). After that I’d roam the children’s section of the library looking for great plots with even greater romances – that’s right, I was a romance junkie since I was like two years old.

EXACTLY HOW MANY BLOGS HAVE YOU HAD?

I’m not really in the mood for counting so let’s just name them all, shall we?

  • NobleBook
  • Keeper’s Book Reviews
  • iWantsItNow (worst title ever UGH)
  • Swimming Through Thoughts
  • Time Turning Reads
  • Fierce Reads, except then I changed the name to The Lone Reader
  • The Lone Reader: the youtube channel
  • And finally this The Lone Reader that you’re staring at on your computer screen

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?

Why thank you for asking! While there are a decent amount of books I give five stars to, very few books get to be on my FAVORITE BOOKS EVER list. Over the years the numbers have grown a bit, so here they are.

YA Books: Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck, Harry Potter & everything by J.K. Rowling because DUH, and Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. I’ll put A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas on here just because I love Rhysand so much (one of the hot main characters in the novel).

Adult Books: Silent in the Grave by Deanna Raybourn

Classics and/or Plays: Hamlet by William Shakespeare, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and every single full-length novel by Jane Austen (Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey).

HOW MANY BOOKS HAVE YOU READ IN YOUR LIFETIME?

I can’t completely answer that yet, but at the time I’m writing this, I’m 19 years old, it’s almost Sunday, April 30th, and I’ve read 1,346 books so far in my life. I will admit that I like to casually drop this fact into conversations to impress people.

YOUTUBING OR BLOGGING?

Both are super fun, and I do believe that booktubers (readers who make youtube videos about books) are more popular in a way, but I like blogging better. It just works for me, although I really love my youtube videos too – not that I’m biased or anything.

IS THIS YOUR FOREVER BLOG?

LOL! your guess is as good as mine. The first thing you should know about me is that I’m unfailing unpredictable – which actually makes me predictable but sssshhhh!

If you want to know anything else about me, just write a comment anywhere on this blog, and I’d be happy to answer. Thanks for stopping by!
